These are some of the books that are helping me along my way. Although I have only a few, they are very very helpful! And of course, I would always like to have more.
Cupcakes from the Primrose Bakery
Martha Swift and Lisa Thomas from the Primrose Bakery in London share their trade and secrets so that everyone can enjoy these beautiful basics.
Planet Cake: A beginner's guide to decorating incredible cakes
Paris Cutler gives a great beginner's guide to all the basics of supplies, vocab, baking, frosting, ginache-ing, and using fondant. Everything a person would need to know to getting started in their baking adventure is in this book. As the book progresses, so does the skill level of each cake, allowing the reader to build upon their cake abilities as they go.
Booze Cakes
Thank you to Krystina Castella and Terry Lee Stone, that this recipe book and guide actually exists. I am so excited to use these recipes- the champagne cake is actually in the lead for my friend's wedding I'm baking for.
Booze Cakes takes classic treats and yummy drinks, and putting them together for a delicious combination. Some listed are the screwdriver cupcakes, cake shooters, and many more. There are also great recipes for frosting laced with alcohol as well, to match their spongy counterparts. Baking and creating these are fun, just be responsible-especially in the kitchen!
